There is a knock at the door, but when it is answered there is no one there - only a box filled with baked goods left on the doorstep, accompanied by a card addressed to the entire family from the other house. A small note is written at the bottom in Pump's handwriting: "I apologize for not being able to deliver these in person."

Apis answered the door, a look of confusion until he looked down on the ground. He picked up the card as he stepped aside so Honey could pick up the package. The two smiled as Apis read out loud the card. Their family had left them gifts. Perhaps they should try to return the favor.

A box of cakes and other treats has been left in Crystal's kitchen. The card upon it is addressed not only to him, but also to Gyro and Shadow.

Now when did that get there? Crystal gave a smirk as he saw the gift, knowing that he and the others would enjoy the treats. He made a note to write a thank you card before he made his way back to the bedroom where Gyro was.

Another day, another world. What kind of world were they going into now? Who knows. Plant just knew he hadn’t traveled so much since he was with Sofia. That was different of course. He didn’t have to worry about his brother trying to kill people.

Metal stepped through the portal first, carrying their small sack of supplies with him as Plant followed through. Looks like the sun was setting, and they were in the middle of an alleyway. “Do you think we could maybe find a temporary job?” Plant asked towards his big brother.

The red Reploid gave a huff. “Why would we need currency?”

“I figured you might want to stay in a hotel tonight instead of sleeping on the ground.” Plant said as he started to walk ahead. They had a few blankets to help them keep warm, but it would never beat a comfy bed. Metal followed him out of the alleyway, looking just the slightest nervous when he spotted a human, although the two seemed very relaxed. Cities was what they grew up in after all.

It hadn’t been that long and yet it felt like they had been traveling forever to Plant. The ache in his chest had yet to calm itself, instead growing stronger. He missed Splash. He missed Honey and Apis too, but mostly Splash. He missed the sound of her voice and the touch of her body against his.

But he kept going. For his brother’s sake.

And so they ended up in a new world. Plant was quick to tighten his vines’ grip on Metal’s arm as the two surveyed the area. Metal let out a growl, wishing more than ever now that he had his mask to cover his face. “Shh...” Plant started to take the lead.

A soft knock on the door would not tell the owners of the house that there was a slightly panicked Robot Master at the door. When Time had not come to his lesson Crystal was a bit concerned. He figured that something must’ve come up at the home and came to see if there was any way he could help. After all, there was no other reason for Time to not show up for his lessons.

Except when he entered the subspace he had noticed a smashed crystal ball on the ground. Something was wrong. He wasn’t quite sure how he knew, but he could feel it. Which was why he was trying not to freak out as he waited for the door to open.

The idea had been sitting in Apis’ head for awhile now. Maybe no one in the house were very close to Ice, but he feel felt like it was his job to help everybody and make sure they were happy. Ice had helped at times, especially when the entire other house had been turned into children, so it seemed fair to give him some sort of thanks in return.

But to put this plan into action, he would need help.

Which is how he ended up knocking at the other house and was now sitting in the living room with Pump. His wings were giving off a nervous buzz as he stared down his cup of drink that Pump always offered when guests came over. He was having a bit of trouble trying to figure out what to say.

“We should make Ice a kid.” He blurted out. So much for trying to ease Pump into the idea and introduce it properly.

In Plant and Splash’s secret garden, a recorder is waiting. Plant had informed the bee siblings of his plans but here was one other person that he needed to tell.

The recording starts off with a long pause at the beginning before Plant’s voice was heard.

“Dear Splash,

I know this isn’t exactly a letter but... this is super hard to do. This... This is going to be my last message to you for awhile.” He can be heard taking in a deep breath before releasing it.

“My brother... He’s not safe to stay in the world he is in now. If I let him stay he could be killed. Since he cannot come back here I have decided I will take him and the two of us will be traveling. I don’t know where we’ll go, but we have a whole multiverse to explore. I’m sure we’ll find places to stay.”

His voice was starting to tremble. “I will be traveling with Metal until he starts to change for the better. Once I think he is well enough I will come back. I don’t know how long that will take. Months maybe even years if my own experience has taught me anything... 

I just... I just wanted you to know. I’ll miss you so m-much...” There was a slight sniffle as Plant was trying to stop himself from crying. “St-stay safe, Splash.” The quiet words of ‘I love you’ could be heard before the message stops.
